Is PACE still supported?

PACE remains supported for existing installations, with assistance available for maintenance, connectivity and lifecycle planning.

PACE product status

Yes. WISE Group continues to support existing PACE installations.

PACE is a legacy software platform originally developed by Muir Matheson. It remains in operational use within helideck and meteorological monitoring systems on offshore platforms and vessels.

PACE is not actively enhanced with new features and is not normally offered as the standard platform for new WISE Group monitoring systems. New systems are generally based on current WISE Group platforms such as DADAS, with Orbalux available for remote data access and sharing.

What PACE support can include

Depending on the installation and its condition, WISE Group can assist with:

  • Software troubleshooting
  • Configuration assessment
  • Sensor and communication issues
  • Display and parameter problems
  • Historical data and logging questions
  • Software licence assistance
  • Connectivity to supported external platforms
  • Assessment of ageing computers and operating systems
  • Upgrade and migration planning

The available support depends on the installed PACE version, computer hardware, operating system, system configuration and availability of compatible replacement components.

Is an immediate upgrade required?

Not necessarily.

A stable PACE installation that continues to meet its operational requirements may remain in service with appropriate support and maintenance. Legacy status alone does not mean that the system must be replaced immediately.

An upgrade assessment may be appropriate when:

  • The computer or operating system is no longer supportable
  • Replacement hardware is incompatible with the installed software
  • Required sensors or interfaces cannot be integrated reliably
  • Operational or regulatory requirements have changed
  • Remote access or data-sharing requirements have increased
  • Faults or performance limitations are affecting system reliability

Available lifecycle options

Continue operating PACE

This may be appropriate when the installation remains stable, supportable and suitable for its operational purpose.

WISE Group can assist with troubleshooting, configuration questions and replacement assessments where compatible components remain available.

Connect PACE to Orbalux

This can provide modern remote access, dashboards and controlled data sharing while the existing local PACE installation remains operational.

The available integration method depends on the installed PACE version, network connectivity and the customer’s cybersecurity requirements.

Migrate to DADAS

A wider upgrade may be appropriate when ageing hardware, software compatibility or new functional requirements make continued PACE operation impractical.

WISE Group can review the existing sensors, interfaces, displays, reports and operational requirements before recommending an upgrade approach.
