Is PACE still supported?

PACE remains supported for existing installations, with assistance available for maintenance, connectivity and lifecycle planning.

WISE Group continues to support existing PACE installations on offshore platforms and vessels. While PACE is a legacy platform no longer offered for new systems, operational installations can receive troubleshooting, configuration assistance, and upgrade planning. New monitoring systems are based on DADAS and Orbalux.

Does WISE Group still support PACE?

Yes. WISE Group continues to support existing PACE installations on offshore platforms and vessels.

PACE is a legacy software platform originally developed by Muir Matheson. PACE is the Platform for Automated Control and Environment monitoring. It remains in operational use within helideck and meteorological monitoring systems on offshore platforms and vessels.

PACE is no longer actively developed or offered as the standard platform for new WISE Group monitoring systems. New systems are based on DADAS, WISE Group's established data acquisition and analysis platform. WISE Group's Orbalux platform supports remote data access, dashboards and controlled data sharing for connected installations.

What does PACE support include?

Depending on the installation and its condition, WISE Group can assist with:

  • Software troubleshooting
  • Configuration assessment
  • Sensor and communication issues
  • Display and parameter problems
  • Historical data and logging questions
  • Software licence assistance
  • Connectivity to supported external platforms
  • Assessment of ageing computers and operating systems
  • Upgrade and migration planning

The available support depends on the installed PACE version, computer hardware, operating system, system configuration and availability of compatible replacement components.

Is an immediate upgrade required?

Not necessarily. A stable PACE installation that continues to meet its operational requirements may remain in service with appropriate support and maintenance. Legacy status alone does not mean that the system must be replaced immediately.

A stable PACE installation that continues to meet its operational requirements may remain in service with appropriate support and maintenance. Legacy status alone does not mean that the system must be replaced immediately.

An upgrade assessment may be appropriate when:

  • The computer or operating system is no longer supportable
  • Replacement hardware is incompatible with the installed software
  • Required sensors or interfaces cannot be integrated reliably
  • Operational or regulatory requirements have changed
  • Remote access or data-sharing requirements have increased
  • Faults or performance limitations are affecting system reliability

What lifecycle options are available for PACE?

Continue operating PACE

This may be appropriate when the installation remains stable, supportable and suitable for its operational purpose.

WISE Group can assist with troubleshooting, configuration questions and replacement assessments where compatible components remain available.

Connect PACE to Orbalux

Connecting to Orbalux provides remote access, dashboards and controlled data sharing while the existing local PACE installation remains operational.

The available integration method depends on the installed PACE version, network connectivity and the customer’s cybersecurity requirements.

Migrate to DADAS

A wider upgrade may be appropriate when ageing hardware, software compatibility limitations, or new operational and regulatory requirements make continued PACE operation impractical.

WISE Group can review the existing sensors, interfaces, displays, reports and operational requirements before recommending an upgrade approach.

How do I request PACE support from WISE Group?

To submit a request, use the Submit Support Ticket option in the Knowledge Base. Include the following details to help WISE Group respond efficiently:

  • Installation, vessel or facility name
  • PACE software version, if known
  • Computer operating system, if known
  • Description of the problem or required change
  • Affected parameters or displays
  • When the issue started
  • Screenshots of any error or unexpected display
  • Details of recent hardware, network or configuration changes
